Most cafes are named after a place or a person. We're named after two desserts: thongyib ("pinched gold") and thongyod ("a drop of gold") — the glossy egg-yolk sweets Thai families make for weddings and new years.
So dessert here isn't an afterthought tacked onto a coffee menu; it's the reason the cafe exists. The mango sticky rice pictured is the single dish our reviews mention most, and the golden set is the one we're proudest to carry to your table.

The sweet spot is late afternoon. Around 16:30–17:00 the light over the bay turns the exact colour of thongyod, and the classic move is a plate of mango sticky rice with one last coffee before we close at 18:00.
You'll find us around the water table inside Ao Nang Landmark, five minutes on foot from Nopparat Thara Beach, with parking outside. Walk in — there's no booking and no dinner service to hurry you along.
